1. Who we are
Merit is a software product operated by Namruth Paspulety. The marketing site is meritcv.com. The app is app.meritcv.com. Paid checkout is processed by Paddle.com Market Ltd as merchant of record.
These terms are the agreement between you and the operator of Merit. Card charges, tax invoices, and refunds on paid plans are handled by Paddle under Paddle’s buyer terms as well as this page and the refund policy.
2. The software
Merit is self-serve software. You upload a resume or notes, Merit asks follow-up questions, you confirm facts into a private vault, and you can export a CV built from those facts. You submit applications. We do not auto-apply. We do not place you in jobs. We do not guarantee interviews, offers, salaries, or visas.
Merit is not a human resume-writing service, not a ghostwriting desk, not career coaching, and not a job board. If a feature is not on the app yet, it is not included in the fee.
3. Your account
You sign in with Google or GitHub. You are responsible for that sign-in method. Do not share the account. Do not upload other people’s private documents without permission.
You must be old enough to form a contract in your country. The product is not directed at children.
You can delete the account from the signed-in app. That signs you out, revokes sessions, and removes your vault from our disk.
4. Honest claims
You confirm every line that can enter a CV. Do not ask Merit to invent work, titles, dates, or numbers you did not earn. We refuse to export a CV whose claims are not grounded in your confirmed vault. You remain responsible for anything you send to an employer.
5. Acceptable use
Do not use Merit to break the law, to impersonate someone else, to upload malware, or to attack the service. Do not try to extract another person’s vault. We may suspend an account that is abusive or that puts the service at risk.
6. Billing
Paid access is a monthly subscription of USD $20. That fee includes interview time. If you use more than the included amount, you can buy extra usage from the Plan page. Extra usage stays on the account until you use it or delete the account. It is not cash and cannot be withdrawn.
One interview and one CV are available without a card. After that, continued interviewing requires an active subscription or extra usage.
Paddle charges your card, collects tax where required, and emails the receipt. Cancel from the Plan page or the Paddle customer portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You keep access until then. Details are on the refund policy and pricing pages.
7. Availability
Merit is an early product. Features, models, and pricing can change. The service may be unavailable. We will not be liable for lost applications, missed deadlines, or consequential damages to the extent the law allows.
8. Intellectual property
You keep the rights in the material you upload and in the CVs you export. We need a limited licence to host that material, run the interviewer, and generate drafts for you. The Merit name, app, and software stay ours. Do not copy the product or scrape it.
9. Liability
The software is provided as available. Language-model output can be wrong even when we constrain it to your vault. You review every export before you send it. Nothing in these terms limits rights you cannot waive under the consumer law of your country, including where that law requires a refund.
10. Ending the account
You can stop using Merit and delete the account at any time. We can close an account that breaks these terms. If we close a paid account for cause we will say so by email. Subscription cancellation still follows the refund policy.
